A unique encounter between Zofia Rydet and Władysław Hasior is presented at Galeria BWA in Tarnów (from 17 May). Under the theme Painted Houses, photographs by the two artists are exhibited as an original record of the visual and material culture of the Polish countryside in the twilight of the 20th century. Alongside excerpts from Władysław Hasior’s Photo Notebook visitors can view Zofia Rydet’s exceptional photo portfolio Zalipie, commissioned in 1982 by Ars Polona, which handled the international distribution of Polish books and contemporary art. A portrait of Władysław Hasior and his studio can also be found in the series Sociological Record made by Rydet in Zakopane in 1983.
