In the works in the Lead Window series, Bujnowski uses a traditional decoration technique to immortalize a drawing of smashed or shot window panes. The first works in this series were made from the damaged windows from the artist’s family house, and are exhibited as single objects, resting right on the floor, propped against a wall. The later pieces were site-specific and are created in existing windows. Stained Glass is an example of the artist’s trademark method of depicting emotional and social instability – reenacting, recording, and incorporating states of unrest, shock, or street violence in an aesthetic structure.
