This famous quote, used during the November Uprising (1831) in Poland and traditionally attributed to Joachim Lelewel, functioned both in Polish and Russian to underline that the Polish uprising was directed against the tsarat authority and not the Russian people. The screen print accompanies the publication of the Slavs and Tatars book Friendship of Nations: Polish Shi'ite Showbiz (Book Works 2013).
