Novelist and playwright Dorota Masłowska premiered her latest creative incarnation as a singer-songwriter-producer in concert with her band MISTER D at Bar Studio in Warsaw. An added bonus of the event was the premiere of the music video for one of MISTER D.’s songs, Hajs (Dough).
MISTER D.’s debut album Society is Mean, released by Raster, is an indie/home-made mix of rap, punk and dance. The lyrical layer of the album is a psychedlic mash of tabloid fodder, expressed through a statistically Polish glossary and its characteristic style of expression.
The album and concert premiere were part of the exhibition “Society is Mean”. Read more about the record here.
