Raster Gal­lery, together with MINT Magazine, organized a meeting with the artist Aneta Grzeszykow­ska, the creator of the exhibition Karma, cur­ren­tly on view at Raster. Fol­lowing the lec­ture por­tion, there was a conver­sation with the artist led by Joanna Piechura from MINT Magazine.

Karma is a story about animalization, dehumanization, and the per­sonification of bodies reduced to objects. Animals are given human charac­teristics, while the artist reveals her own fleshly essence, creating a new kind of com­munity bound by body and karma. The object is equated with the sub­ject, the dead with the living, the human with the animal, and spirituality with physiology.

The event was organized as part of the Warsaw Gal­lery Week­end program, with sup­port from the City of Warsaw.
