The exhibition by Olaf Brzeski at Galeria Entropia, part of the “The Situation is Perfect” series, is based on the visual exploration of fears tamed by the artist through “compulsive” drawing. This process results in the creation of a video. In his exhibition, the artist constructs a multi-layered narrative that tells a story referencing past events, “demons” from the past, as well as current obsessions and anxieties.
In the Tibetan practice of CHÖ, this involves giving form to our fears in areas of our psyche that have remained in an undiscovered realm of shadows. The focus on the drawing layer, which shapes the film, adds an extra dimension to its reception. The story is “drawn” in real time, generating additional tension in an unconventional visual narrative
