Iza Opiełka is a pain­ter whose abs­tract works explore the aesthetics of con­tem­porary infor­mation tech­nology, prin­ting, graphic design, and product design. She employs traditional, entirely analogue tech­niques, wor­king with oil and acrylic paints and applying mul­tiple layers and textures to the canvas.
Her star­ting point often con­sists of forms proces­sed in graphic design software, glit­ches, or frag­ments of imagery drawn from inter­net folk­lore. Rescaled and trans­fer­red onto the canvas using sten­cils, these elements create a distinc­tive and visually expres­sive style.
The charac­teristic white-grey-beige palette of Opiełka’s pain­tings referen­ces the colours of office equip­ment and elec­tronic devices.
