An extensive exhibition in Deichtorhallen Hamburg is dedicated to the overwhelming spectrum of modern and contemporary artists’ perspectives on Picasso. Among almost 200 works on loan, there are also three paintings by Marcin Maciejowski — and "Bust of a Woman, 1944" (2014) from last year's exhibition at Raster, is one of them. Both the legendary life of the Spanish artist and his art have been an important source of inspiration for Maciejowski for quite some time now; his studio library has what you might even call a separate section dedicated entirely to Picasso.
