A new series of nocturnal landscapes is an example of a maximal synergy between the painter's means and his subject; between the "content" and the technique of painting: dark (this time not black but grayish), monochrome paintings come to life before our eyes as they are illuminated by just the right angle of light. Light makes up a crucial element of Bujnowski's works—it is to draw out astonishing effects from what otherwise appears to be almost completely black, monochrome surfaces, building a multifaceted, illusory space.
