Sourced from the multiple architectonic and technological realities that exist in Warsaw, the subjects of Tajima’s exhibition—machine, book, and body—are unseen. Instead they provide the underlying technical material for the hardware-laden sculptures and abstract woven textiles in AIR. Together the objects intimate a still obstinate and unreadable body in transformation. Skin perforated. Mind laced. Input ready. Configured for performance—work, pleasure, war. Not yet fully machine.
The exhibition at Raster will be the first individual show of the artist’s works in this part of Europe, premiering September 2017 as part of Warsaw Gallery Weekend.

A premiere of a new series of graphics or rather an abstract linocut wallpaper by Rafal Bujnowski in Berlinskej Model gallery in Prague
Premiere screenings of two loudly-commented movies from 2015 will take place at 10 Chancery Lane Gallery in Hong Kong: “Walser”, a cinematic debut by Zbigniew Libera who wrote and directed it, and “Performer”, a feature film inspired by Oskar Dawicki, starring… Oskar Dawicki playing Oskar Dawicki (dir. by Łukasz Ronduda and Maciej Sobieszczański).

The 50th anniversary of the Xavery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture was celebrated by an extraordinary exhibition entitled “Zbigniew Libera: It’s Not My Fault That This Sculpture Rubbed Against Me”. Libera, in a charming and humorous way, described his role in this project as “truffle hog”.
